1. Trup'd

Getting “Trup’d” is synonomous with being tricked. It occurs when Red Sox radio broadcaster Jerry Trupiano describes a well hit ball as going “WAY BACK” only to wind up as a routine catch in the outfield.

Getting “Trup’d” can be a feeling of either disapointment or relief, depending on who is currently batting, the Red Sox or their opposition.

I was listening to the game on the radio, and I thought for sure The Sox had a game-tying home run, but it turns out I just got Trup'd!
