Ding-Honk

A term coined by a red sox fan on June 27, 2004, when he noticed the these were the sounds made by the words Bell and Horn. Immediately after shouting DING HONK from the Fenway grandstand behind home plate Mr. Bellhorn hit a three run homerun.
Based on the examples cited, the term has come to mean any home run hit by Mark Bellhorn that has game changinng reprecussions.

The same fan swears that this is also the sound made by Bellhorn's well timed but oddly placed homerun in Game six of the 2004 ALCS and in the well timed 8th inning insurance run in game 7 of the ALCS, draining the momentum for a rally after Petey gave up 2 runs in the seventh. This sound was repaeated as one of the few enjoyable sounds of FOX's World Series covereage when Bellhorn hit the Pesky Pole in the eigth inning of Game One of the World Series, giving the Red Sox the winning runs. Interesting claims of magical chants of Ding Honk being uttered from the upper deck of the the doomed house of Ruth in the Bronx have been credited with the wise actions of the umpiring crew in reversing the call on Bellhorn's ALCS game 6 homerun to left.
